Hello fellow Enneagram explorers! 👋 I've recently discovered that I'm a Type 2 wing 1. While I've read a bit about this type, I'd love to hear from others of the same type about their experiences. Do the general character traits of the Helper (2w1) resonate with you? How do you see this type affecting your personal and professional relationships? Hey everyone! I've recently discovered that I'm a Type 2w1 on the Enneagram scale 🎉. It's been extremely enlightening for me and has allowed me to better understand my personality traits and motivations, but I still have some questions. I often find myself offering emotional support and assistance to those around me, sometimes to my own detriment, and I suspect this is tied to my "Helper" nature. Could you all help explain how the '1' wing influences my Type 2 behavior? How exactly does this combination of Type and Wing manifest in everyday life? Hello everyone! I've recently discovered I identify as a Type 2 with a 1 wing (2w1) on the Enneagram. I understand that being a 2w1 means I'm mainly a helper who values relationships highly, but with a grounding influence from the Type 1's desire for integrity and perfection. I am curious to understand this combination more deeply. Specifically, how does the '1 wing' influence or modify the priorities, behaviors and challenges of the core Type 2? Also, if there are other 2w1s out there, how have you integrated or resolved the sometimes conflicting desires of these two types in your life experiences? I'm aware that the 2 type is generally altruistic, striving to help others while struggling with issues of self-worth, and the wing 1 adds a layer of perfectionism, emphasizing personal integrity and values. I'm just wondering how the combination of these two traits as a 2w1 type might influence my day-to-day behavior, relationships, and personal growth? How do others with this type manage the conflict between wanting to help others versus prioritizing self-care? I'm particularly interested in learning more about how my wing 1 affects my propensity for the need to be loved, that is so evident in type 2s.
