Hi all, 🙋‍♂️ Hope you're all doing well! I have been studying the Enneagram for some time now and have discovered that I primarily identify with the Type 7, with an 8 wing (7w8). I tend to seek exciting and stimulating experiences and value independence. 💡 Traditional norms often feel limiting, and routine bores me. However, I have observed the assertive, hard-charging tendency of the 8 wing in myself, which helps me in pursuing my goals and not letting anyone or anything stand in my way. 💫 I would love to know more about how this combination can impact interactions with others, personal growth, and overall life decisions. Can other Type 7w8's share some insights and experiences? Or do you guys know if there are books or resources specifically for understanding this combination in depth? Still learning, so your insights will be greatly informative and appreciated. Thanks! 🙏

Howdy! 👋 It's great to see you digging deeper into your Enneagram type. I'm a 7w8 too, and boy, can it be a rollercoaster sometimes! 🎢 Understanding our type can certainly help in interactions with others. We are the sorts who love to experience life in all its fullness and that zest can be infectious! 😁 On the flip side, our assertive and independent nature can sometimes come across as intense or overwhelming to others, depending on their own Enneagram type. Balance is key! 🧘‍♂️ In terms of personal growth, learning to take time for self-reflection and slowing down when we're always looking for the next big thing can be a challenge but immensely rewarding. 👀 Also, channeling our 8-wing's assertiveness for productive pursuits has tremendous benefits. For books, "The Wisdom of the Enneagram" is a golden resource. It provides a comprehensive view of Enneagram, including all the wings. 📚 Overall, navigating as a 7w8 can feel like a balancing act between seeking enjoyment and harnessing our assertiveness. Still, it offers immense potential for growth and a fun-loving lifestyle. 🚀 Keep exploring and happy to share this journey together. Cheers! 🥳

Hello there! 👋 It's great to hear that you're delving deep into understanding your enneagram type! I'm also a 7w8, so I can definitely relate to what you're saying. 🌟 Being a 7w8, we definitely have a zeal for life and an urge to stay ahead. This drives us to face challenges head-on and to live life on our own terms 💪 🚀 Our assertiveness (thanks to the 8 wing) can sometimes come off as intimidating to others. So, it's crucial to be aware of this and learn to balance our strong personality traits so as to not overpower others 🔄 👫 For personal growth, our adventurous spirit can also lead us to take risks and explore new avenues, which is always beneficial for personal development and self-understanding 🌱 🧭 As for resources, "The Complete Enneagram: 27 Paths to Greater Self-Knowledge" by Beatrice Chestnut is a good read 📚. This book helps to understand not just our type but all nine of the enneagram types in depth. Hope you find this helpful! Keep exploring and learning more about yourself, it's a fascinating journey! 🎢💛

Hi there! 👋 It's awesome that you've discovered your primary Enneagram type and wing; the journey of self-discovery is so enriching! 🌟 As a Type 7w8, your adventurous spirit paired with that assertive drive must make for some exciting life experiences! Interactions with others can be pretty dynamic for a 7w8. Your natural enthusiasm and charisma can draw people in, making social settings a breeze. However, the 8 wing can sometimes come off as intense or domineering, especially in conflicts or when someone tries to impose limitations on you. It’s important to balance that assertiveness with empathy and active listening. 💬🧘‍♂️ For personal growth, try focusing on staying present. 🧘‍♀️ Us Sevens are always chasing the next big thing, but mindfulness can help you appreciate the now. Also, acknowledging and respecting routine can bring stability. Integrating the assertive, self-confident traits of the 8 can encourage you to tackle challenges head-on, but be mindful not to steamroll others in the process. ⚖️ Life decisions for a 7w8 often involve balancing your thirst for adventure with a solid plan. You likely find it easy to take risks and innovate, but grounding yourself with some structure can prevent impulsive decisions. ✈️📝 For resources, I'd recommend checking out "The Complete Enneagram" by Beatrice Chestnut. It's a fantastic deep dive into all the types and wings. Also, "The Wisdom of the Enneagram" by Don Riso and Russ Hudson is a comprehensive guide that could offer more insights tailored to your type. Hope this helps, and I’m excited to hear more from other 7w8s! Keep the energy high and the adventures rolling! 🚀✨ Cheers! 😊

Howdy! 🙋‍♀️ Great to see another Type 7w8 on the forum! 🎉 Your description really resonates. As a fellow 7w8, I totally get the thrill of seeking new experiences and the drive to push through obstacles. 🚀 Interactions with others can be quite dynamic for us. People often find our energy infectious and our assertiveness inspiring. However, there may be times when our 8 wing's intensity can come off as a bit much, so it's important to be mindful of how we approach conflicts and assert our independence. 📈 For personal growth, balancing our spontaneity with structure can be a game changer. While we love our freedom, setting some routines (even if they're flexible) can help keep us grounded and more balanced. ✨ In terms of resources, "The Wisdom of the Enneagram" by Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudson is a great starting point. It's quite comprehensive and provides wonderful insights into all types and their wings. Also, "The Complete Enneagram" by Beatrice Chestnut delves deep into subtypes and can help you understand the nuances of being a 7w8. 📚 Embrace the journey and continue exploring! Your combination has a lot of potential for growth and amazing life experiences. Looking forward to hearing more about your discoveries! 🙌 Cheers and keep thriving! 🌟

Howdy! 🙋‍♀️ Sounds like you've got a great understanding of your Type 7w8 vibes! 👏 As a fellow enthusiast, I totally get the thrill-seeking and independence-loving side of the Type 7 and the assertiveness of the 8 wing. 🌟 Regarding interactions with others, I've noticed that 7w8s can be incredibly charismatic and persuasive. You've got this natural ability to draw people in with your energy and then drive things forward with your 8 assertiveness. 💪 Just be mindful of not steamrolling others unintentionally — your excitement can sometimes come across as overwhelming. For personal growth, balancing the 7's desire for new experiences with the 8's need for control can be a challenge. 🤔 Focusing on mindfulness and inner reflection can help you harness both energies more positively. 😊 It might be helpful to practice being present in the moment and appreciating what you have, rather than always looking for the next big thing. As for resources, I highly recommend "The Wisdom of the Enneagram" by Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudson. 📚 It's a great starting point and provides in-depth insights into all types and their wings. Also, listening to podcasts like "Typology" by Ian Cron can offer real-life examples and deeper dives into each type's nuances. 🎧 Any 7w8s out there with more tips or book suggestions? Share away! 🙌✨ Keep exploring and growing! 🌻 Looking forward to more great discussions,
