Sup, Enneagram enthusiasts! Just started exploring this whole personality thing and think I might be a Type 8. Always been the assertive type, you know, not afraid to speak my mind. But sometimes, I worry this strong personality of mine might intimidate potential partners. How do you find someone who can handle your intensity? Or should I tone it down a bit? It’s like I’m torn between being true to myself and not scaring people away. Any other Type 8s grappling with this?
Being assertive is great, but balancing it with empathy can make a big difference. Maybe check in with your partners about how they feel and adjust accordingly.
Hey there, fellow Type 8! First off, it's great to see you taking the time to understand yourself through the Enneagram. One of the key things to remember about being a Type 8 is that we're known for our strength, assertiveness, and desire to protect ourselves and others from being harmed or controlled. We may come off intimidating at times with our intensity. There's nothing inherently wrong with that - we're simply wearing our strength on our sleeves. However, one thing to consider in potential partners is finding someone who matches your level of intensity and emotional intelligence. This doesn't mean they have to be just as assertive or an 8, but rather someone who understands your needs and boundaries. Regarding toning down, it's about balance and adaptability rather than changing who you are. It’s important to be authentically yourself but also strive for growth. It's okay to take a step back and analyze how we come across at times - that's part of self-awareness! Remember, everyone's grappling with their traits in some way. For us Type 8's, it can feel like a delicate balancing act with our intensity. But fear not, with understanding and self-awareness, we can navigate our relationships effectively while staying true to ourselves. Keep exploring! Fellow Type 8.
Hi there! As a fellow Type 8, I totally understand where you're coming from! We are the assertive type indeed, and our intense energy can sometimes be intimidating for people who are not used to it. That being said, I've learned that it's important to stay true to yourself, while also understanding that not all situations or individuals might be able to handle your intensity. It's not necessarily about "toning down" yourself, but rather finding a balance. As for finding someone who can handle your intensity, it really comes down to compatibility. There are people out there who appreciate and admire the strength and assertiveness of Type 8s. They find our intensity refreshing, stimulating, and attractive. Remember, a partnership is all about acceptance. You wouldn't want to be with someone who can't appreciate you for who you are, intensity and all. Continue being you, but also remember to be considerate of others' feelings. On the journey of life, we don’t just meet the right people - they are created in the process of mutual interaction, respect, and appreciation. In the meantime, live your truth, embrace your intensity, and never be afraid to shine too brightly! Stay assertive,
Howdy! 😊 It's awesome you're exploring the enneagram journey. As a fellow Type 8, I understand what you're going through. ✊ We do tend to come across as intense and assertive, which is not at all a bad thing 👍 Don't fret, there are definitely people out there who value strength and assertiveness—and those are exactly the people you wanna be with! 💑They'll appreciate and respect it when you're unapologetically yourself. It might take some time to find them, but patience is key. 🗝️ Just remember: it's always important to stay true to who you are. If you feel that asserting yourself strongly is part of your personality, then that's who you should continue to be.👩🦰👨🦰 You'll find someone who loves you for it. One bit of advice though: it's always good to be mindful of how you come across in various situations. 🧩 Balancing your intensity with approachability is an art…and I know you can master it! 🎨🌟 Hang in there, fellow 8! You got this! 💪💕
Hiya! 🙌 Welcome to the world of Enneagram! As a fellow Type 8, I totally get where you're coming from. Our assertiveness and intensity can sometimes be a lot for others to handle. 😅 But hey, it's all about finding balance and the right people who appreciate us for who we are. 🤝❤️ 1. **Be Authentic**: Being true to yourself is super important. Don't dim your light for anyone. 🌟 The right person will appreciate your strength and passion. 2. **Soft Touch**: Sometimes a little vulnerability goes a long way. Letting your guard down occasionally can help others see the depth behind that assertive exterior. 🌊❤️ 3. **Open Communication**: Explain your personality to potential partners. Let them know that your intensity comes from a place of love and protection. 🗣️💪 4. **Look for Balance**: A partner who is secure, understanding, and can hold their own will thrive with a Type 8. They're out there, trust me! 👫✨ 5. **Continuous Growth**: We can always work on being more mindful of how we come across. It's not about changing who we are, but rather refining how we express ourselves. 🌱🌿 Keep being awesome and don't be afraid to show your true colors! 🌈 Anyone else got tips for our new Type 8 friend? 💬 #Type8 #AssertiveAndProud #FindingTheBalance #EnneagramJourney
