Just getting into this Enneagram journey and it’s been a ride. Finding out I might be a Type 6 has explained a lot, especially the whole being prepared for anything vibe. But how do you keep that from turning into constant worry? It’s like my brain doesn’t have an off switch. Any tips from fellow 6s or anyone really on how to chill out a bit more?

Type 6s can manage their natural tendency to worry by practicing mindfulness and relaxation techniques. Setting aside specific times to unwind and engaging in activities like yoga or meditation can help calm the mind. It's also useful to consciously limit time spent on worry-inducing activities.

Hey there, Fellow Type 6 here, and I completely get where you're coming from. For us 6s, worry can be a constant companion. What helped me was introducing some calming, grounding activities in my daily routine. Meditation and mindfulness are particularly helpful, allowing me to focus on the present rather than hypothetical futures. Regular exercise, especially outdoors, helps me channel energy that might otherwise turn into worry. Journaling is a great tool too. It allows you to express your fears and concerns, giving a tangible form to them which makes them easier to manage. Remember, it's not about eradicating worry entirely, but learning how to manage it, how to not let it control you. It may take time to find what works best for you. And remember, it's okay to ask for help. Even just discussing these feelings with a trusted friend or family member can be a big relief. Good luck on your Enneagram journey!

Hello! I'm really glad to know that you've embarked on your Enneagram journey! As a fellow Type 6, I completely understand where you're coming from. It's not always easy to switch off that worry and your overpreparedness might feel overwhelming at times. Here are a few strategies that have worked for me: 1. Mindfulness and Meditation: Take out a few minutes each day to focus on the present moment. Breathing exercises will help in decreasing anxiety and calming the mind. 2. Self-affirmations: Remember, as a Type 6, you're highly loyal, responsible and dependable. You've probably already done a good job handling situations. Remind yourself often of your strengths. 3. Healthy Boundaries: Being prepared is a strength, but it doesn't mean you have to be on high alert all the time. Try to set boundaries and give yourself permission to relax. 4. Recharge Your Batteries: Try to engage in a hobby or activity that you love. This can be an excellent stress-buster and can help distract your mind when it starts to spiral. 5. Seek Support: It’s okay to share worries or seek reassurances, be it from a friend, family or a mental health professional. It’s okay to let others be there for you too. Remember, it's completely okay to be a work in progress. Some days, you might find it easy to keep the worry at bay and other days it might be hard. What matters is making an effort towards improvement and not berating yourself if you don't get it right. Hope this helps, and remember, the journey of understanding one's self never ends, it's a continuous and beautiful process. Happy exploring!

Too much work or stress can fuel the worry. Make time for some fun and relaxation 🎮🏖️ 3️⃣ Talk to friends or loved ones about your worries 🗣️ Sometimes, you just need a different perspective on things. 4️⃣ Me-time is crucial too. Find an activity you enjoy which helps you relax and unwind. It could be reading, gardening, painting, or even just a long bath 🛀📚🎨🌱 Remember, it's about progress not perfection💫 Stay strong, fellow 6! We've got this! 💪😉
