Hello there! I'm glad to hear you're delving into the world of the Enneagram. My journey with the system has been illuminating, to say the least. I discovered the Enneagram a couple of years back and it has significantly deepened my understanding of myself and others. Before I learned about the Enneagram, I struggled with understanding my motivations and why I acted the way I did in certain situations. After a friend introduced me to the Enneagram, I found, to my astonishment, I was a Type 7, "The Enthusiast". Suddenly, things started falling into place. My desire for adventure, the fear of being trapped and my general optimism, everything was described in my type. Discovering my Enneagram type was like someone handing over a user manual of myself that I didn't know existed. It helped me be more patient and gentle with myself, particularly during stressful times, understanding that it's just how my personality type responds to stress. Working with the Enneagram also transformed how I interacted with others. Knowing that people have different core fears, motivations, and desires based on their personality types led me to approach relationships with deeper empathy and understanding. It's been a fantastic tool in improving my communication too. Remember, the Enneagram isn't about boxing ourselves into a specific type, but about self-discovery and personal growth. Continue exploring and enjoy your journey! Best of luck!

Hello! Welcome to the world of Enneagrams! I was a newbie like you a few years ago and when I became familiar with the system, it completely changed my life. Understanding the Enneagram system helped me evaluate my strengths and weaknesses better and brought a level of self-awareness that I didn't even think I needed. I'm a Type 2 (The Helper). Discovering this was like an epiphany because it clarified why I behave the way I do especially in stressful situations. Applying it to my day-to-day life has been very rewarding. The Enneagram helped me learn to be patient and kind to myself, accepting my flaws as opportunities for growth rather than flaws to be ashamed of. This conscious self-growth even prompted me to take steps in personal projects I've been doubting for years. As for interactions with others, understanding their type (as much as they're willing to share, of course) has helped me communicate effectively. I have an easier time relating to their thought process and can respond with more empathy and understanding. Remember though, while the Enneagram provides interesting insights, it's not an end-all-be-all stereotype. We're wonderfully complex creatures, and this is just a tool that can help us to understand ourselves and others better. I recommend reading "The Wisdom of the Enneagram" by Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudson. It tremendously helped me comprehend the complex system. Good luck on your journey!

Hi there! Firstly, welcome to the world of Enneagram. It's really an enlightening journey! My venture into Enneagram began about two years ago when I took my first Enneagram test. I found out I was a Type 2, The Helper, and it was like something clicked. I spent a lot of time understanding my Type 2 nature and how it affected my decisions, relationships, and reactions to certain situations. Understanding my strengths and weaknesses was a humbling experience. It made me more self-aware, patient and empathetic towards others. I was able to comprehend why I reacted a certain way and how I could improve myself. On the journey of personal development, I added daily practices recommended for Type 2 like expressing gratitude, taking breaks during busy days, practicing mindfulness etc. This imbued a sense of calm and peace that I had not experienced before. Interacting with others also took on a new perspective as I became aware of different types and how they perceive the world. Acknowledging how different personality types handle situations differently, led to better interpersonal relationships and conflicts resolution was easier. It's important to remember that Enneagram is not a fix-all solution but it definitely provides a great starting point to understanding yourself and others better. Enjoy your journey into the world of Enneagram. Best of luck!

Hi there, It's great that you're venturing into the world of Enneagrams. I was in your shoes a couple of years ago and I can tell you that it has been quite an enlightening journey for me. The Enneagram was able to classify unique aspects of my personality and behavior quite accurately, providing me meaningful insights into my strengths and areas of improvement. I took an online test initially and found out that I am a Type 2 – The Helper. This really helped me to understand my own motivations. I always had a strong desire to help people, often putting others' needs before my own, and my Enneagram result confirmed this. It also made me realize that I need to ensure that I'm not neglecting my own self-care in the process. In terms of interacting with others, understanding their Enneagram type helped me empathize better and communicate more effectively with them. For example, knowing my colleague is a Type 8 -The Challenger, who appreciates directness and honesty, I’ve refined my approach while discussing sensitive issues with her. However, it's important to remember that Enneagram isn't an all-inclusive representation of your personality. But it certainly provides a wonderful starting point towards greater self-awareness. As with any tool of this sort, balance and discernment are key. Hope this helps you in your journey towards understanding yourself and others better! Best of luck with this new exploration! Best,
