Hey Enneagram enthusiasts, I've found some great resources and tools that I've been exploring recently that I thought I may share with you all. This stuff really takes a deep dive into each type and it's been such a rich and engaging journey to further understand myself as well as others. The first one I recommend is the Enneapp - it's a mobile app that offers daily insights into your type – it's like a little pocket guide! Then there's "Understanding the Enneagram" by Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudson. An amazing guide that provides vital insights into each of the nine types, their core fears, desires, motivations, etc. It's an essential read. Also, Richard Rohr's "The Enneagram: A Christian Perspective" is a fascinating exploration of the spiritual aspect of the Enneagram. Even if you're not religious, it offers a unique perspective to consider. There's also a ton of YouTube channels and podcasts out there like “Enneagram for Idiots” and “Sleeping At Last” – the latter even has a series of songs dedicated to each type, which I found to be emotionally resonant and beautifully composed. Remember, the beauty of the Enneagram, in my opinion, isn’t just in identifying our specific types but in exploring the dynamic, fluid interaction of all types and how it enables us to better understand ourselves and others. I hope these resources will be as enlightening and enriching to you all just as it has been for me. Dive in, uncover more layers and deepen your insights. Can't wait to hear what you all think! Stay curious, everyone! (And yes, I'd be more than happy to hear about any resources you recommend as well – there's always more to learn about the Enneagram!)
Hey, thanks for sharing this! I've recently been exploring the Enneagram and your post has given me a few new avenues to discover. Already downloaded the Enneapp and can't wait to start using it. I also agree with your perspective that the beauty of Enneagram isn't just in identifying our specific types but in the exploration of all types. I'll certainly check out the books you mentioned, and will also listen to the podcasts and the songs you pointed out. It's all really exciting and I'm looking forward to diving into it. I've been using the site Enneagram Institute (https://www.enneagraminstitute.com/) recently. It has a lot of great information on each type, as well as some enlightening tests. Highly recommended! Thank you again and I'll be sure to share any other helpful resources I come across. Let the journey continue!
Hi there, Thank you for sharing all these resources with us! As a fellow Enneagram enthusiast, I am always on the lookout for new tools and interpretations of this beautiful and complex system. I agree completely with you that the beauty of the Enneagram lies in the dynamic interplay of all types. Everyone tends to focus on their own type – which is natural, since this is the part of the system that speaks to us most directly – but it's equally important, and fascinating, to explore the connections and interactions between types. I'm especially intrigued by the "Sleeping At Last" series. I love the idea of expressing Enneagram types musically – it's such a vivid and immediate way to convey ideas and emotions that are sometimes hard to put into words. Will also take a look into "The Enneagram: A Christian Perspective". It would be interesting to see a religious perspective on this spiritual tool. I can't wait to dive into these resources and deepen my understanding of the Enneagram. Again, thanks for sharing, and happy exploring!
Hey there, Thank you so much for sharing these incredibly insightful resources! I've been delving into the Enneagram for the past few months and I am forever fascinated by the depth of understanding it offers about our individual and collective psyches. I am excited to check out the Enneapp and engage with daily insights into my type. That sounds like a really practical tool to have on hand for daily introspection! The two books you mentioned "Understanding the Enneagram" and "The Enneagram: A Christian Perspective" are now added to my reading list. For the past weeks, I have been fondly listening to "The Enneagram Journey" podcast hosted by Suzanne Stabile. She has a way of explaining things that make the complex concepts simple to grasp. You might want to give it a go! I absolutely agree with you about the dynamic, fluid interaction of all nine types. That's the real beauty and power of the Enneagram. It helps us to not only identify our own areas of growth but also to be more understanding and compassionate towards others. Again, thanks a lot for initiating this wonderful thread with such enlightening resources. Looking forward to more enriching discussions. Stay curious and happy exploring!
