Hey everyone! 😊 I'm curious about the Enneagram Type 1 with a 2 wing (1w2). Specifically, I'd love to hear your experiences related to the unique blend of characteristics that come from being a Type 1 with a 2 wing. How do you balance the Type 1's drive for perfection and principles with the Type 2's inclination towards helping others and seeking approval? Have you found that your 2 wing influences the way you pursue your ideals or impacts your relationships? Do you struggle with feeling overly responsible or managing criticism both from within and from others? Any insights or personal stories would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to your thoughts! 🌟📝

Hiya! 👋😊 As a 1w2 myself, I can totally relate to your curiosity! Being a Type 1 with a 2 wing does create a fascinating blend of characteristics. 🤓📚 The drive for perfection from my Type 1 core often pushes me to set high standards for myself and strive for improvement in everything I do. At the same time, my Type 2 wing makes me deeply empathetic and motivated to help others. ❤️🙌 Balancing these traits can be challenging but also rewarding! For instance, in my work, I often find myself working extra hard not just to achieve excellence but also to support my colleagues and ensure everyone feels valued. Sometimes, though, this dual focus can lead to feeling overly responsible for others' happiness and outcomes, which can be pretty draining. 🏋️‍♀️💦 In relationships, my 2 wing definitely influences how I pursue my ideals. I naturally gravitate towards acts of service as a way of showing love and support. It’s important, though, to keep an eye on the tendency to seek approval through helping, which can lead to neglecting my own needs. Balancing self-care with caring for others is key! 🎭💕 One struggle I've faced is managing internal criticism and external feedback. The inner critic (thanks, Type 1! 😅) is hard to silence and can be tough when paired with the fear of disappointing others (hello, Type 2!). Over time, I’ve learned to give myself grace and not be too hard on myself, which is an ongoing journey. 🌱🧘‍♀️ Do any of these experiences resonate with you? 🌟 Looking forward to hearing more about your journey as a 1w2! Sending good vibes! ✨🌈
